OutThere Sailing   

Created for 12-17 year olds who want to try sailing in a non-competitive, social and fun setting. OutThere Sailing is the perfect way to have fun on the water without any long term commitment.

Sailing is a sport that is accessible for everybody, all equipment is provided by clubs so all you need to do is show up and have a good time! Clubs will utilise a wide variety of activities within the program that may include Keelboats, Dinghies, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Windsurfers and Powerboat adventures; All OutThere Sailing programs are delivered by qualified Australian Sailing Instructors.

OutThere Sailing provides a social environment where teenagers are able to cultivate real friendships with others from their local area, whilst potentially igniting a love for sailing in the process. Socialisation and fun both on and off the water are paramount; club culture is inclusive of everyone and there is plenty for parents and teenagers to get involved with.

OutThere Sailing Experience

OutThere Sailing Experience sessions are all about having fun and getting a taste for on water activities. This action packed program will give you the opportunity to try one or all of the following, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddle boarding, powerboating and keelboating. Depending on your centre, experience sessions will be flexible in their attendance, and held over one to four days.

OutThere Sailing 1

OutThere Sailing 1 is a great introduction to these sports and their skills, but will still focus on fun with friends. The program provides a wide variety of on water activates that will give you an introduction to sailing, and depending on your centre an opportunity’s to experience stand up paddle boarding, windsurfing and power boating. You will learn these skills through exciting exercises and put them to good use in fun on water activities.

OutThere Sailing 2

OutThere Sailing 2 will build on the introductory skills learnt in level one. It will have the same philosophy with fun and socialising being the priority. Following this program there are a variety of opportunities and sailing pathways offered by your local sailing club, including OutThere Sailing 3.

OutThere Sailing 3

OutThere Sailing 3 has a variety of challenges and skills to master during the program. Still with a focus of fun and hanging out with mates, this program will teach you skills that will make you more competent out on the water and in a position to take your friends out sailing.

Clubs may choose to run their OutThere Sailing programs in a combined model, by dividing OutThere Sailing groups in ages. This split will be mentioned in the name of the program you wish to register for (12-14 & 15-17). No matter how your club chooses to run their programs, OutThere Sailing will always be about putting fun and social engagement first.
